Danny Burke, 54, died suddenly Sunday morning, September 5, 2010. Originally from Millen, GA, he resided in Savannah most of his life. He was a member of Local No. 188 Pipefitters and Welders Union. He also served in the United States Army and Georgia Army National Guard.
Surviving are his daughter, Mary Burke and grandson, Zachary Lynn Hayes of Granite City, IL; brother, Gary Burke and his wife, Lise of SD; two sisters, Carolyn Canady and Sharon Jones of Savannah; two nephews, Andrew Jones of Savannah; Joseph Christopher of Independence, MO; step-father, John Blitch of Savannah.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral: 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
You finally made it HOME to be with Moma. I'm sure she was there with you to help you cross over so that you were not alone. You will be missed here with us but you are in a much better place now. I won't say goodbye. I'll just say 'See You Later'.

In this world there is plenty pain, plenty sorrow For each and every one of us No guarntee of tommorow I wonder .... Frome where you are now what advice you would give perhaps it would be to only focus on love and kindness and rejoice in every day thst we live!!!
